Series: Why partner with Radiant Cleaners?

This is a series of posts exploring why employers choose to partner with Radiant Cleaners and discussing their experiences of working with the team.

For this post, we spoke with Dave Hepworth, Operations Manager at St Nic’s Church.

St Nic’s Church on Maid Marian Way in Nottingham has worked with Radiant Cleaners since June 2022. Dave Hepworth was already familiar with Radiant Cleaners when he began his role as Operations Manager, and he chose to work with them because of the combination of the cleaning requirements at St Nic’s and the social value of Radiant Cleaners. When asked the reasons for choosing our company he responded with the following:

“We were looking for a reliable cleaning service and Radiant Cleaners fitted that bill perfectly.”

He explained that the employment of people with major barriers to work was a significant factor in his choice to partner with Radiant Cleaners and stated that he has “no regrets in choosing that course of action.” He went on to discuss how the values and approach of Radiant Cleaners fit with the beliefs and vision of St Nic’s Church:

“As a church we believe in seeking the Kingdom of God and healing the city. We don’t have the resources currently to run a program like Radiant Cleaners, so we build the Kingdom of God by using the resources that Grace Enterprises provide”

Of course, excellent social value has to be matched by excellent services, and so we also talked about the cleaning services provided. Dave said:

“They provide reliable, hardworking cleaners, the standards are good and we are very happy with the service we receive.”

Specifically, he has found that the communications with the operations team at Radiant Cleaners was good, and that there is cover for people or extra shifts when required. He has also been pleased with the employees themselves, finding that they have been willing to do different tasks from their usual if asked, including some maintenance work. He has found that all of the regular cleaners at St Nic’s have great interpersonal skills and have demonstrated high levels of motivation and an ability to work independently.
