Series: Why Partner with Radiant Cleaners?

This is a series of posts exploring why employers choose to partner with Radiant Cleaners, and discussing their experiences of working with the team.

For our second post in this series, we interviewed Elaine who works in the Admin Team at Western Automation in Nottingham. This is an industrial unit where Radiant Cleaners clean the offices, meeting rooms, entrances, toilets, kitchens and showers.

What was clear from our conversation with Elaine was that, although the social value of our work is important, it was not the reason they chose Radiant Cleaners. Indeed, Elaine said that initially she had no idea that people with major barriers to work were employed by all companies within Grace Enterprises; rather, another Radiant Cleaners client recommended us to them:

“Initially the sole reason was because FAR UK had recommended them, they had said Radiant Cleaners were reliable and did a thorough job”

We strive to provide a high-quality service to all our customers, and so we were delighted to hear this feedback. Elaine said the cleaning standards are “absolutely fantastic”, that all employees had great interpersonal skills and fitted in well, and they needed no supervision whatsoever.

But of course there is more to Radiant Cleaners than just excellent cleaning, and we discussed the social value aims of Western Automation and how working with us might meet such goals. Western Automation is a national company and this is a new initiative in Nottingham, but from working with various Radiant Cleaners’ employees, Elaine said:

“I think it is absolutely fantastic that these people are given a chance in life and I would recommend them to anybody.”

Overall, her feedback was very positive: “in all areas I would give 10 out of 10.” She valued the “excellent and diverse employees” and the standards they consistently kept - specifically, the offices and toilets which are “always spotless”. The excellent cleaning made a difference to the working environment: “it provides a pleasant work environment in which to work. It makes hard days more bearable.”
